Introducing . . . Portrait Playdate Sessions!!!

Have you heard the news?? I'm launching something fresh and new for the winter -- Portrait Playdate Sessions. Here are the details:

Grab a few friends with children and come on over to my place! I’ll set up the space for the actual photo shoot and then leave plenty of room around the perimeter for the kids to play. The kitchen area will be available for juice and a light, kid-friendly snack – or just to break away from the action. The children will be brought into the photography space one at a time (or in sibling groups when desired). I’ll snap away for about an hour, getting as many photographs of the children as the time allows. Then within 14 days I’ll upload your group’s images to an online gallery for viewing and ordering right from the comfort of your own home! Once you place your order, the images are shipped directly to you so you don’t have to make a second trip to visit me.

The Playdate Portrait Session Fee is only $30 and can be easily divided among a few friends.

Standard Print Pricing applies to image purchases and can be viewed in the right-hand sidebar of my website.

The Playdate Portrait Session is available for groups of 4 to 10 children (with a minimum of 2 separate households represented – in other words, a single family with 4 children does not qualify for the Playdate Portrait special). Please call or email with any special requests or questions, I’m always willing to entertain new ideas.

As the Playdate Portrait Session only allows a small amount of time dedicated to each child, I would highly recommend an individual session for a family desiring several poses and options to choose from. You can view my website or contact me ctameling@comcast.net for additional information.

sKitTLeS!!!!!!

Yep, that's right . . . Skittles! She worked for Skittles. Her mom carried a secret stash of the colored candies in her bag. Too funny.

This little girl was a ball of energy and fun. I loved every second with her and thoroughly enjoyed her charming and whimsical personality -- curious and excited to check out everything. What a happy girl. Thanks, A, for being so much fun.

How about this . . . A's mom even let her splash in the puddles while wearing her pretty dress. It was so worth it for this fun shot!
Wouldn't this one make a great wall portrait? I love the softness to her expression and the great colors of the natural fall background.
A few days later I had the privilege of doing some follow-up shots with A on the swings in my backyard. She was like a kid in a candy shop . . . a Skittles shop :) .I love the funky angle of this one, but mostly I love the silhouette of mom in the background looking on with a smile.I have so many more sessions and images I am dying to share here, but alas I must get back to some editing. I'll try to post more again soon. Until then . . .

CLouDy aNd cOoL GoOdNesS

Let's face it, we don't have sunny and 70 degrees every day. But no worries!! I love photographing on overcast days. So for those of you that are waiting for the perfect day to get outside for a family photograph, don't limit yourself to bright sunshine. Check out these images from a recent cloudy day session . . . the warm, fall colors stand out BIG TIME.

I was able to romp around my backyard and then the lake with these two cuties without the typical concern for sun washout and deep eye pocket shadows that are typical on sunny days. Aren't these girls just GORGEOUS??!! These girls are so much fun . . . truly beautiful inside and out. The gallery I put together for this family was packed with tons of images that I love . . . I couldn't even decide which ones to post here, so I just randomly picked some :) . Enjoy!

Ahhhh, this little man has personality oozing from his pores :) . And the "plus" is that he is photogenic beyond words. A true pleasure to capture images of this group. Thanks B, T and D for a fun afternoon. My kids want to know when D is coming back for a visit.
